Refund Policy
Restaurants run on tight margins. Our refund rules are written so you can change your mind early, get a fair settlement if we underdeliver, and walk away from hosting without a fight.

The short version
- Deposit: 100% refundable before we start design. Partial after planning. Non-refundable once design begins.
- Final payment: refundable for 7 days after delivery if material defects vs. the approved preview aren’t fixed.
- Hosting: annual plans are pro-rata refundable for full unused months minus a 10% admin fee. Self-hosted code is non-refundable once delivered.
1. Setup deposit (30%)
We invoice 30% of your chosen setup tier as a deposit at kickoff. The deposit’s refundability is tied directly to where your project sits in our lifecycle:
- Before we verify the deposit (status: draft or awaiting deposit verification) — full refund. Email us and we’ll cancel the project before any work begins.
- While we’re scoping (status: planning) — 50% refund. We’ve already invested time understanding your business, but design hasn’t begun.
- Once design has begun (status: designing or later) — non-refundable. From this point, an experienced designer is producing real work tied to your brand. The deposit covers that effort.

2. Final payment (70%)
The remaining 70% is invoiced when we share the preview. After delivery (status: complete), you have a 7-day acceptance window:
- If we promised something in the approved preview that isn’t in the delivered build, tell us within 7 days.
- We’ll fix it within a reasonable remediation window (usually 10 business days).
- If we can’t make it match, you’re entitled to a refund of the final payment proportional to the missing scope.
Subjective changes — “I’d like the hero a little warmer” — are not defects. Those are handled under our standard change-request process and your selected hosting plan’s included development hours.
3. Hosting plans
Self-Hosted
Self-Hosted is a one-time delivery — we package your source code and a deployment guide, and you take it from there. Once we’ve delivered the code, the Self-Hosted handoff is non-refundable. (It also costs $0, so this is rarely an issue in practice.)
Essential Hosting / Growth Partner / Concierge
Annual hosting plans can be cancelled at any time. When you cancel:
- We refund the full unused months remaining on your annual term, calculated to the next whole month.
- We deduct a flat 10% administrative fee on the refunded amount to cover payment processing and infrastructure tear-down.
- Hours of included development changes that have already been delivered are not refundable.
We will keep your site live for 30 days after cancellation to give you time to migrate. You can request export of your menu data and brand assets at any time during that window.
4. How to request a refund
Send a single email to billing@nowserve.co with:
- The email address on your NowServe account.
- Your project ID (visible in the URL of your dashboard, e.g.
/dashboard/websites/<id>). - A short note on what’s changed or what didn’t work.
We acknowledge refund requests within two business days and aim to issue approved refunds within seven business days, returned by the same method as the original payment.
5. Chargebacks
If something feels wrong, please email us first. Most refund disputes can be resolved in a few hours by talking to a human. Filing a chargeback before contacting us means we can’t help you, and may result in your account being suspended pending the outcome.
6. Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy reduces consumer rights you have under the law of your country or state. Where local law gives you a stronger right than this policy, that local law applies.
7. Updates to this policy
When we change this policy we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top. Changes apply to projects started after the change goes live; existing projects keep the policy that was in force when their deposit was paid.
